Can’t say enough good about this place. Very professional, friendly, timely, knowledgeable, thorough...the list goes on.

Had a great experience with Automotive Specialist. My parents referred us to them and they have always been honest, transparent, and quick at fixing whatever needs done on the car. I appreciate that they aren’t trying to up sell or up charge us.

Quality treatment with no wait and no drama! Love it when good people can do a great job. That happens here!

I came in the other day because my truck had a weird clanking sound. They told me they checked out EVERY SINGLE possibility and said it had to be something with the transmission. They told me they were going to charge me $800 to just drop the transmission (which is almost everyone's normal price). After dropping it, they found that it was the starter causing the problem, which I know doesn't need to have the transmission dropped. They then said they were going to check the flywheel to make sure it didn't get damaged, which is why "we still needed to drop the transmission." (That's one way, but that's a lie). They shouldn't have had to drop my transmission if it was the starter and they said that they checked everything in the first place and to check the fly wheel all they had to do was remove my starter and they would've had a way to see the it. After checking with my good friend and mechanic and another mechanic they also confirmed that they didn't have to drop my transmission and they could've done it the other way. They lied to me. And they still tried to make me pay $1,000 for a $300 problem. And also still tried to justify why they did it.

This business was highly recommended to me from someone who had been getting service here for over 11 years, and after my experience, will never be back. Long story short, there was zero communication and no professionalism nor did they stand by what they say. Absolutely no concern for letting the customer know what is going on unless you call them. Also, I am randomly missing a piece of the trunk liner now (they claim they did not touch it, but I don’t know how it disappeared). Thankfully, when they broke two other pieces of my interior liner, they replaced at no cost to me (as you should). That however is the only positive thing that happened, minus having to wait a weekend for the part to ship and have it replaced. After being highly recommended and seeing so many positive reviews, I am extremely disappointed in my experience and won’t be back.

Sorry we did not meet your expectations. COVID had us down on staff and we were struggling just to get the cars fixed. It's our goal to keep everyone informed of what's happening but we just fell short. The piece missing from the trunk was replaced at our cost although I am positive it was not lost at our shop. Sorry you did not get our best but we did try and make it right

I’ve lost count of how many cars I’ve brought to Automotive Specialist. From fluid changes to water pump and timing belt replacement to rear subframe work, they always take great care of my cars and me. Prices are fair, and much lower than a dealer. I’ve brought everything from brand new Corvettes to 17 year old Nissans here. Same quality and response every time.

Thank you Ray and AutoSpec for fixing that annoying vibration in my truck. It now drives very well and rides like a new truck. Your excellent customer service is much appreciated.

During the last cold snap this year, my heater core in my Chevy Equinox went out... spewing antifreeze in my floorboards & fogging up my windshield to the point I could barely see to drive. I called about 10 auto shops around the Austin area, and got quotes ranging from $1100 (Auto-Spec) to $2600. It's an INTENSE "fix" -- the dash, steering wheel & front seats had to be removed. A lot of places I called said they wouldn't even take on the job because it was so much work (14+ hours of labor alone!)... but Mike & Ray quickly gave me a quote and offered to set up an appointment to get my car fixed. We've used Auto-Spec in the past and, even though they did quote us the lowest price, were happy to give them our business again. The guys (we worked with Mike the majority of the time) were AMAZING, keeping us updated along the way and even taking pictures to show us how crazy my car looked once they took the seats and dash out! (I mean, who takes time to snap a few pics to show the car owner when they come pick up the car? Pretty cool!) Their original quote of $1100 is basically what we ended up paying (plus $20-something dollars for a new hose that was needed), and I can honestly say that their work was AMAZING! I couldn't tell a bit that my car had been totally taken apart & put back together. We will definitely continue to use Auto-Spec for all of our car repair needs in the future! Thanks, Mike & Ray!
