My car died and had to be towed to a shop. I always worry in those situations if you'll find a shop that treats you ethically. I was very fortunate to find Auto Spec. They addressed my problem swiftly and had me back on the road fast.

I was told by another mechanic shop in Georgetown that I needed a new wheel bearing and wheel hub. Total cost $600+. It seemed expensive so I brought my car here to Auto Spec to have the diagnosis double checked and to compare price. They quoted me $150 less and later called me to inform me that all bearings were fine and that the noise was coming from the back tires because there was some "cupping". I will bring my car here for everything now regardless if I have a coupon for another place. It's hard to find an honest and affordable mechanic. Highly recommend!!!

I took my vehicle in for a front end rattle issue I have been having for a while. Ray at the front service desk was able to work me in that same day and the service tech was able to locate the issue right away and have the repairs done quickly and at a fair price. Auto Spec is the only place I go for car services. They are the best.

Sean and Mike were simply amazing. They know what customer service is all about! Mike told me how long it would take to put new tires on my Lincoln MKZ and offered to have Sean take me to and from work. I will never go anywhere else. Thank you for going above and exceeding my expectations.

I took my 2005 Odyssey for some repairs. They were very courteous and fixed everything as promised. Fair pricing and great customer service.

Honest, fair, reliable service. Found them by accident, but glad I did. These guys will do an honest job and do it right. Highly recommend them for all your automotive work.

We have been headed all the way to GT for some great service and repair services. We have had our Mercedes, Fords and Chyslers all serviced by Auto-Spec over the last 4 years. One instance that stands out was work done on our GLK350 from Mercedes with less than 60K miles on it. Just as the warranty expired, there was an increased noise coming from the rear of the car when accelerating. Our first stop was at Mercedes of GT where we found out the warranty lapsed a few months back, so the total bill was not covered. So with parts and labor, this would be out of pocket in the 3500-4000 dollar range, it was a rear end bearing issue and the entire back driveline and parts were to be removed. We took it to John and his team and came back with a few alternatives. One is the part source by Mercedes and installed by his team. This is normally how it works with parts being OEM but the labor rates are much better NOT going to the Benz shop. The second alternative was to source a complete rear axle and assembly out of state (used) but only a few thousand miles on the drivetrain. Needless to say, we opted for the out of state option and close to new part put on the SUV. Only took one day after the part came in and the work was completed. Guess what? Even as new the GLK was never that quiet, so it seems like the original part was not a manufactured right resulting in a huge cost to replace. Best of all, saved a ton of money by having alternatives to work with. Will continue to have all my cars serviced there or in the other location in Round Rock for convenience. Trusted advisors for all of my car needs-

Good stuff: For general repairs they seem to be pretty good and reasonably priced. I've had a few things fixed there and if you don't mind waiting a day or two they seem to get the job done well. Bad stuff: Don't get an oil change there. It was $65. They only changed the oil and did not check any other fluids. You can get the oil change and fluids at the dealer for $47.

Thanks for taking the time to write us a review. We aren't a quick oil change station. A synthetic oil change does typically cost $65 sometimes more depending on how many quarts of oil is needed. You can go 5000 miles before your next oil change. A conventional oil change cost around $45 and will need to changed again after 3000 miles. Every oil change comes with a check list, the technician checks all the fluids, belts, hoses, tires, tire pressure, brakes, battery. If they see something that needs to be addressed they will tell you otherwise everything looked good. We don't try to up-sale you services you don't need. We look forward to seeing you again.
