I've been using these guys for a very long time. They are willing to explain things to me. They do the work quickly. And, the few times they have messed up they fixed it, apologized, and got it right at no cost (just a little lost time) to me. (The times they messed up it was clearly a case of a mechanic who did not care much about doing a good job. Never saw those guys in their shop again.) I have taken my new cars there and I have taken my ancient pick up there. They understand that a vehicle can ge kept running for 20+ years and they know how to do it without breaking the bank. About as good as an autoshop gets.

Love them. They are honest and stand by their work. They go out of their way for customers.

An old school mechanic shop where honest work is done.

The staff were friendly, their communication was excellent, they were very knowledgeable about my vehicle and the problem I was describing, and they fit me in on a day they were already booked and were able to have my car's problem identified, fixed, and back to me within a few hours. I believe they did what was best for my car by using good replacement parts, not trying to find more "problems" to upsell me, and they even gave me a new customer discount. I was scared to bring my car in, but I knew it needed to be done because I was worried about the sound it had been making the past few weeks. It no longer makes that sound, I did not break the bank, and I was not without my car for more than half a day. I would definitely bring my car back again in the future for maintenance or repair. I just moved to Round Rock within the past year or so, and in that time I've taken my car to multiple auto places in town for oil changes and my yearly inspection, and this was by far the best experience so far. Thanks!

Most of the car issues that I have had in the time I've lived here (5 yrs) have been limited to oil changes/tire replacements so I had not had to shop around for a mechanic as of yet. That changed today when I found out that some lugs on one of my wheels needed to be replaced. I called 3 other places prior to calling JC Automotive and I am glad that I didn't use anyone else! From the very first call they were very courteous and professional, working in the customer service field myself this is really important that someone makes a good first impression. I got my car over there and since it would be a while before my car could get in (I wasn't even upset about the wait since I didn't have an appointment and they were the only ones who could get me in today) I was delighted to find that they had a courtesy shuttle available. Not that I would have minded waiting, but it was nice to be able to go home and relax in the meantime. When my car was completed I got a call and since I wasn't going to be able to get there before end of business they worked out an arrangement with me and I was able to pay over the phone. My husband and I will definitely be using these guys in the future for any repairs that we need! Car repairs are always stressful..."how much is it going to cost?", "do I really trust these people to be working on my car", "do they know what they are doing?". Even though this was my first visit in there I trusted these guys to work on my car and from the volume of business I assume that they are pretty good at what they do. Cost wise I think it was very reasonable. Thank you JC Automotive for making a stressful situation a lot less stressful!

I know a little bit about cars and know when a Mechanic is giving you the B/S. Ray got my 2010 Acura tires replaced and CV axle replaced . I had supplied parts and even before I asked ,he asked me what tires I wanted to keep for any reason and packed the used OEM CV back in the box. These guys are not in the biz for scheming and I will take my car happily for repairs . And they charge a fair price for a honest job .wish them lots more happy customers, I will be sure to send their way.

I live in DFW and spend a lot of time in Austin/Round Rock. I had a fuel pump problem while in RR last year and lucked into JCAS with a Miata problem. Expert, quick work, with good communications while my car was in there. Recently I lost an alternator on the drive from DFW. Again, great work from JCAS. Stop reading reviews and just take your car to this place. Done!

I just purchased a 2008 Mazda CX7 about 45 days ago and the car died on a trip out of town. I had the car towed to JC Automotive Specialist. It was a Saturday and they weren't open so I left the car there with my information and waited to hear back on Monday. They were prompt in calling me and confirming my concerns and called me back that same afternoon to let me know the issues. The issues, unfortunately, were so crazy expensive they were kind enough to "motivate" me to issue a complaint with the Ford dealer I bought the car from as well as try and get something done with Mazda. Rather then take my money and make a difficult situation worse, they gave me honest advice and didn't even charge for the diagnostic. Great service...if I ever get my car back or any of our other family cars require repair I will only take my car here.

I don't understand why this place has such good reviews. I went here specifically because people were touting how great it was. My experience was less then steller. I dropped my car off overnight on the key drop place since I got of work late. They told be before that they have it done the next day. next day came and no one called me to confirm they have my car or they were working on it. NOTHIGN. I called at noon to make sure they did in fact have my car, and that my car wasn't jacked or anything since I left it outside on their lot. They guy (Ray) said they will look at it and get back to me soon. I called at 3pm and Ray said they were typing up the report. I called at 5pm and Ray said they were typing up the report. This was a bunch of BS. they haven't even looked at my car yet. I told them I was coming to pick up my car since I had to have it next day, I suspect they started looking at my car then. They got one star because they did fix the oil leak. However, I tried to use a $15 coupon on their website. Ray said, "I gave you a discount on your price already, use it next time". I was thinking, why they heck would I give you the coupon beforehand so you can just jack up the price and take a discount???? I also heard another rep told his customer that he gave them a HUGE discount on his price. If you were stupid enough, then you'll believe them. They just say that to make you believe you got a great deal. I also got a compressive vehicle inspection ($99). They found several things wrong with the car. Ray only gave me a quote for the labor, but not the parts. He said he would give me the quote the next day. Well it's been 2 weeks and I haven't heard from them. Long story short, save yourself the trouble of going here. The reviews are overrated.
